Mojgan and Alizera looked wonderful on their formal wedding day. Mojgan looked beautiful in her dress and Alizera looked debonair in his suit. They were ready for the traditional Persian style wedding with all of their family and friends. The wedding ceremony was full of tradition and enjoyed fully by all of their guests. The ceremony, the food, the music, and the overall celebration was a joy to see. It was obvious that they were happy to have this special day to bring their lives together with their guests.

Their personal photographs were taken at nearby Stanford University and at their selected restaurant, Faz in Sunnyvale. My wife, Annie, shot as a second photographer and captured some great additional photographs that will help to make sure that their day is well remembered into the future. Congratulations again to Mojgan and Alizera for their new life together.

A moment alone...

Noriko and Toshiyuki were joyous and excited, yet humble at the same time. They had both travelled from Tokyo to San Francisco for a wonderful wedding in Golden Gate Park at the Shakespeare Garden. The weather was beautiful and the day bright. They were married amongst the trees in the park, and afterwards went on a short trip from the city to Sausalito for their reception. The gathering was small, but full of close friends and family members. It was an honor to be a part of their wedding day.

These photographs were taken mostly with the Nikon D700 and the AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED lens along with the 85mm f/1.8. Some images were taken using the Nikon D300 and the AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED. All of these images were color corrected in Lightroom 2. The only significant issue was correcting for the right white balance in the Shakespeare Garden as there was high contrast (bright sun and dark shadows) and a strong green tint from the foliage.

Mojgan and Ali were a joy to work with regarding their official wedding ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. Although they will be having a more formal Persian wedding later this month, they wanted to have their official wedding done at the beautiful San Francisco City Hall. There was rain just a few days before hand, but they were fortunate that the day was fantastic, and gave them blue skies and sun. Here are few photographs from that day. Little Hailey having some fun

Time goes by quickly.  One moment they are little toddlers, and the next minute they are graduating from college.  It makes sense to capture their childhood in photographs when you can, and it doesn’t hurt to get some photos of your killer muscle car in there at the same time.  The whole family was in great spirits, and the kids were eager to get some great photographs taken as well.  I thought it would be great to get some photos of the family with their Mustang out by the USS Hornet.  The same ship that carried the historic Moon landing Apollo 11 spacecraft and astronauts back from their landing in the Pacific in 1969.  It’s a small trip back into time I suppose.  Here are some photos of Eddie, Sharon, Ben, and Hailey, and the classic ’67 ’65 Ford Mustang Fastback.  Enjoy.
